What is Zylpha Reader?

Zylpha Reader is a PDF reader, packaged with Zylpha Bundling, which has editing functionality/tools.

Annotations

  • Sticky Notes

    • Allows you to place ‘notes’ on any page and include a comment. The note will be date and time stamped.

  • Highlight

    • Allows you to highlight specific pieces of text in a colour of their choosing.

  • Underline

    • Allows you to underline specific pieces of text in a colour of their choosing.

  • Strike Through

    • Allows you to strike through text as required.

  • Text Box

    • Allows you to add a text box to their PDF.



Shapes
Shapes can be added to any page in the PDF. All shapes can be coloured or resized as required. The available shapes are:

  • Line

  • Rectangle

  • Circle

  • Polygon

  • Polyline



Text Search

  • Allows you to search for either a single word, or a string of text. All results will be highlighted, and you can cycle between them.


Navigation

  • Next/Previous Page

    • Allows you to jump to either the next, or previous page in their PDF.

  • Zoom In/Out

    • Allows you to Zoom either in or out in 10% increments.

  • Fit Page

    • Adjusts the zoom level so the PDF fits the page.


Bookmarks

  • The Bookmarks tab allows you to see all the bookmarks within the bundle in a concise view. You can also navigate the bundle by clicking on bookmarks.


Thumbnail View

Provides a zoomed-out view of the entire bundle, showing each page in order and orientation. Users can select documents from this view to navigate to them.




Redaction

  • Redaction Colour

    • Allows you to choose what colour the overlay concealing the redacted content should be.

  • Overlay Text

    • Allows you to add text to the overlay, such as “REDACTED”, in a colour of their choosing.

  • Search and Redact

    • Allows you to search for a single word, or a string, to redact.



Hyperlinks

  • Hyperlink to file

    • Allows you to set the destination of their hyperlink to be a file on their local machine.

  • Hyperlink to URL

    • Allows you to set the destination of their hyperlink to be a URL.

  • Hyperlink to Bookmark

    • Allows you to set the destination of their hyperlink to be a Bookmark within the PDF.

  • Internal Hyperlink

    • Allows you to create a hyperlink from one location within the PDF to another. (e.g. Page 1 to Page 7)

  • Hyperlink Information

    • Allows you to see all hyperlinks currently contained within the PDF. The included information is:

      • Hyperlink Name

      • Hyperlink Starting Point (Page number)

      • Hyperlink Destination (File name/URL name/Bookmark name/Page number)

      • Hyperlink Type (File/URL/Bookmark/Page)



Attachments

The attachments tab allows you to see each file that is currently attached to the PDF.
