The redaction tools allow you to redact specific text or areas of your PDF. To begin first open your bundle/document in the document editor. Redaction methods can then be selected from the redaction dropdown on the ribbon.
There are three redaction tools available to use: text redaction, area redaction and search and redact.
Text Redaction
The text redaction tool allows you to highlight specific text for redaction. Simply left-click and drag to highlight your desired text.
After selecting your redaction areas, you can either clear your selections or apply the redaction using the buttons in the ribbon.
Area Redaction
The area redaction tools allows you to select an area for redaction - this can be useful for images or tables found in your document. Simply left-click and drag to draw a box around the area you wish to redact.
After selecting your redaction areas, you can either clear your selections or apply the redaction using the buttons in the ribbon.
Search and Redact
The search and redact tool provides the functionality to search the entire document for specific text and mark any instances for redaction.
To search for text in the document, type your search into the search field and select "Go".
This will search the entire document, and display the number of results below.
You can then mark the found text for redaction, and apply the redaction using the buttons below.
Redaction Options
There are several options to change the visual properties of redaction, such as colour, overlay text and opacity. These options can be found in the secondary ribbon after selecting a redaction tool.
