Why would you want to Mint $CST?
The Coast Stablecoin $CST is a 1-to-1 fiat backed PRC-20. You can mint 1$CST with 1 $USD through the Coast app. And similarly, you can burn 1 $CST for 1 $USD. Coast provides some of the most transparent collateral analytics in the blockchain industry so at any time, users can confirm the balance of the $CST collateral account.

3. How to Mint $CST
Go to the Mint & Burn page of the Coast app
4. Select amount to Pay (USD) or Mint (CST)
You have the option to select either the amount of $USD to pay, in which case your fees will be subtracted in the Mint Summary and you'll receive the balance.
OR you can select the amount of CST you'd like to receive and the Mint Summary will add the fees (as long as they don't exceed your digital account balance).
If you prefer to just mint the entire balance of your digital account, select the Max label above the You Pay field.
5. Pay in USD
Once you've entered an amount, the Pay button will go Blue prompting you to Pay for your transaction.
After you select this option a dialogue box will open showing your progress through a three step process. You don't need to do anything during this process. Just wait for everything to complete.
Transferring Funds - USD is being moved from your Custodial account to the $CST collateral account.
Confirming Transaction - The $CST collateral account confirms receipt of the funds.
Approving CST - your Wallet is being approved to mint $CST
When the three processes have completed you'll see an alert popup at the bottom right of the screen saying "Transaction completed successfully". If you don't see this, please contact support.
6. Mint your $CST
If everything has completed successfully, the app will take a few seconds to recognize that your wallet has been approved to Mint $CST. When it updates, the Mint button will turn Blue and become active.
7. Approve in Wallet
Clicking the Mint button will initiate a transaction in your connected wallet. Approve this transaction.
8. Mint Completed
If your $CST has been successfully minted, you will see this notification.
9. Add $CST to Wallet
If you have not already, add $CST to your Wallet using the dropdown menu. Click on your Wallet address and the dropdown will open allowing you to disconnect from the app or to Add $CST to your Wallet.
