Synchronizing the 1Place Childcare application is essential as it ensures that completed checklists and logged activities are correctly uploaded to the server, preventing data loss or discrepancies. It also helps resolve connectivity issues by re-establishing communication with the server and ensures consistency across devices when multiple users or devices are involved.
Where to synchronize my app?
In the upper right-hand side of your screen, you'll see a cloud icon: This icon displays your current connectivity status.
When your Wi-Fi or mobile data connection is interrupted, a diagonal line will display across the cloud icon, indicating that the connection to the 1Place servers has been disrupted:
If this occurs, there’s no need to worry. With our enhanced offline and drafts functionality, you can continue working on most of your tasks even if your connection is lost.
By tapping the cloud icon, you can open the Connection Status box, which provides detailed information about your current connection status. It also displays the Date and Time of your last synch.
How to manually sync my app?
If you expect to be without an Internet connection for some time, you can manually sync with the server beforehand. Simply tap the cloud icon to access the Connection Status box, then press 'Sync Now' to ensure your data is up to date before going out of Wi-Fi or mobile data range.:
The syncing process captures the most recent data for all your accessible Centres, Rooms, checklist templates, schedules, ticket categories, and other relevant information:
Why do I need to sync my app manually?
The app automatically syncs in the background every six hours when connected to the Internet, so most users won’t need to worry about manual syncing. However, it’s a good practice to perform a manual sync if you anticipate being in an area with poor or no Internet access. Even if you lose your Wi-Fi or mobile data connection, the app will continue to function.
Any content you’re working on offline will automatically be saved in the Drafts section, with changes saved to your device in real time as you make them. If you exit an in-progress checklist, you’ll have the option to save it as a draft or discard it. Once you reconnect to the Internet, a notification will appear, prompting you to submit your saved drafts.
