We have 2 Permissions that will make it easier for your team to manage Users in 1Place. Previously only Super Users were able to manage Users, but by activating these Permissions that responsibility can now be shared among other Users. If one of the below options is ticked in the Profile, the Settings > Users menu will be enabled for the linked Users.
Access To Edit Users
By enabling this Profile Permission, the assigned Users can Add new Users and update existing Users. When adding a new User, the following restrictions apply:
The new User can only be assigned a Profile that sits lower in the Hierarchy than the 'current' User. For example, if your 'Area Manager' has access to add new Users, they can only assign the 'Centre Manager', 'Educators' or 'Survey Profile' Profile.
The New User can only be linked to the same Room (Site) [Alias] as the 'current' User. For example, if the 'Area Manager' has 'Room (Site) Alias Access Mode' and is linked to Alias 'Region 1', they can only add a new User with access to the same Alias, or Rooms (Sites) from that Alias. If the 'Area Manager' has 'Room (Site) Access Mode' and is linked to 50 Rooms (Sites), they can only add a new User with access to (some of) the same Rooms (Sites).
The details the User can edit for other Users are:
User Details (names, phone numbers etc)
Password
Email Address
Access to Rooms (Sites)
Person Types - when the People Manager is active
Group Contacts - please note, 'non-Super Users' can no longer update Group Contacts via Settings > Centre / Room > Edit. This is only available for Super Users.
Allow Update Other Users' Password
When this Profile Permission is enabled, the User can only reset passwords for Users with a Profile that sits lower in the Hierarchy than the 'current' User. For example, if your 'Centre Manager' has access to update other Users' password, they can only update passwords for Users with the 'Educators' or 'Survey Profile'. On the Settings > Users page they will see 2 'Actions':
Key Icon; this will take the User to the password reset page
Envelope Icon; this will send the affected User an email with link to reset their password.
