What is it?
Guaranteed Gift is a built-in safety net that ensures no recipient walks away empty-handed. If an employee forgets to claim their gift before your campaign expires, Snappy automatically converts it into a digital Snappy Dining Card of equal value.
โ๏ธ How It Works
Send: You launch a campaign with a set expiration date.
Remind: Snappy sends automated reminders to the recipient.
Convert: If the deadline passes and the gift remains unclaimed, the system automatically sends them a Snappy Dining Card instead.
Enjoy: The recipient activates their card to use at local restaurants or food delivery apps (like DoorDash or UberEats) globally.
๐ ๏ธ Setting It Up
You will find the Guaranteed Gift toggle in your Campaign Settings before you launch your send.
By Default: It is turned On (except for Swag or Single-Item campaigns).
To Disable: If you prefer unclaimed gifts to simply expire so the unused budget returns to your account, you can toggle it Off.
๐ณ About the Snappy Dining Card
Format: Digital-only (Compatible with Apple Pay & Google Pay).
Validity: Expires 12 months after activation.
โ ๏ธ Tax Note
Unlike physical gifts (which are often tax-free), Dining Cards are treated as cash equivalents and are generally considered taxable income for the employee.
โ Quick FAQs
Does this cost extra? No! It simply uses the budget you already allocated for the original gift.
Can I choose a different fallback gift? Not at this time. The Snappy Dining Card is the only automated fallback option.
What if I manually expire a gift early? If you manually expire a gift before the official campaign deadline, it will not convert to a Dining Card.
What does the recipient see? The recipient receives an email with activation instructions, and redirects their gift link to the Dining Card page:
