✅ Branding Checklist
To get your On Demand Plus collection started, our design team will need the following assets:
Vector Logo: Your primary logo in a vector format (.ai, .eps, or .svg).
Text in Outlines: All fonts within your vector file must be converted to "outlines" (shapes).
Light & Dark Versions: Logo versions optimized for both light and dark backgrounds.
Company Brand Guidelines: A document detailing your hex colors, font names, and spacing requirements (if available).
Understanding Vector Files
Unlike standard "Raster" images (like PNGs or JPEGs) which are made of pixels, Vector files are built with mathematical equations. This is the gold standard for premium branding.
Why Vectors Matter:
Infinite Scalability: Vectors can be enlarged to fit a massive banner or shrunk for a tiny pen without ever losing quality or becoming "blurry."
Print Precision: To achieve the high-end look of On-Demand Plus apparel and outerwear, our printers require the sharp, mathematical paths found in vector files.
How to identify them: Look for file extensions ending in .ai, .eps, or .svg.
Raster vs. Vector: A Visual Comparison
Feature | Raster (PNG, JPEG, GIF) | Vector (AI, EPS, SVG) |
Composition | Pixels (Tiny dots) | Geometric Shapes & Paths |
Resizing | Loses quality / Pixilated | No loss in quality |
Best For | Photos & Digital screens | Logos & Physical Merchandise |
Editable? | Limited | Fully (change colors, move text) |
What does "Text in Outlines" mean?
When you send a file containing text, our design software needs to "read" that specific font. If we don't own that font, our system will replace it with a generic one, changing the look of your brand.
How to fix this:
Before sending your file, you must convert your text into "Outlines." This turns the letters into shapes so they look identical on any computer.
In Adobe Illustrator: Select all text -> Go to Type -> Click Create Outlines.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
I don't have my logo in a vector format. What should I do?
Reach out to your marketing or creative team! Anyone who has designed signage or physical collateral for your company will have these files. You can share the "Branding Checklist" above with them.
Can I just save a PNG as an .EPS file?
Unfortunately, no. "Saving as" doesn't convert pixels into vectors. The logo must be originally created or recreated in a vector program like Illustrator.
I have an .AI file but I can't open it!
That’s okay! Most people cannot open vector files without professional design software. Just email the file to our team and we will verify the quality for you.
