Is the valve open or closed?

Sometimes, due to marine growth or missing indicators it can be difficult to identify if a valve is open or not - how do you handle that?

Updated over a week ago

As illustrated in the picture below it can sometimes be difficult to identify a valve or see if it is open or not:

So to mitigate this problem ValveTrack has reference pictures so that the ROV pilot can see how the valve looks like and how the open / closed position is identified.

You have many valve of the same kind? Then you have functionality to reuse these pictures for multiple valves - you do not need to do this manually one by one.

Upload a reference picture for open position and for closed position, so that it is available in the logs for guidance

You can easily do this by uploading a picture directly to the valve or take a picture on the fly using your handheld device:

The picture is thus available on the valve in ValveTrack but most importantly in the log entries:

When you create a new valve log or status check the reference picture is there to guide you:

Reuse a picture from a verified open/closed check as reference picture

You can also simply use the as observed image and the as left image as reference pictures:

Reuse the reference picture for multiple other valves

If you have a reference picture and you know it is relevant for multiple other valves you can simply push them as reference:

Then you will open the search dialog and select all the relevant valves based on your criteria:

Then review

And share:
