Inline editing of a plan

You can now do execution of a plan in inline editing mode

Updated over 2 weeks ago

There are 3 ways of executing a plan in ValveTrack:

  1. Create, edit and complete a plan (opens up a new article)

  2. Bulk updating a plan with Excel (opens up a new article)

  3. Inline editing (this article)

Inline editing

Click on the Inline editing action:

Then you can edit and enter the relevant values as usual:

You will see different warnings if the position choices are different than what the current position of the valve is in/recorded in ValveTrack. You will also have guidance text on all torque and number of turns values

You can also press the little information icon on the top of the cell columns to read the applicable tooltip:

When finished - press save. You will continue being in the inline editing mode even though you have saved your progress.

To exit the inline editing mode, click the Cancel button

Please note that you will need to confirm your action as it will not automatically save your progress unless you have pressed save first.

The system will create the relevant log / status check once all your inputs are saved. You can edit the log by clicking the Pen icon or by clicking the 'inline editing' action button again.

NB: You can only edit the log using the inline editing. If you want to delete the log from the planner view, please click the three dots in the log column and you will get the option to View the log or Delete the log. NB: Please note that there is no extra pop-up confirming the deletion of a log. Once you click 'delete', the log will be deleted. Be very careful when clicking the delete log button.

NB: Images can only be inserted in the 'normal' log pop-up window. It is not possible to add images (as-found and as-left) in the inline editing mode. To add your images, please save your input and exit inline editing mode. Then open the log in the Edit mode (the Pen icon)

Insert the images you want to upload and click the Update log button at the bottom.

If you are on your mobile device (phone or pad), you can also take a picture directly from the device.

If you have improvement suggestions please use the contact info in Release notes.
