Here is a quick video introduction:
ValveTrack is capable of handling relation between an URL (reference to a document or web page) and a valve. Due to the large number of valves and document references and Excel upload functionality has been implemented. Typically, physical documents (files) are handled in a document handling system by the contractor and the operator, so that updates and revisions can be managed. ValveTrack will only store a link (URL) and some metadata for the document reference. The metadata (attributes) are:

Adding a document
Download the excel template
Go to Import documents
Download the template
You now have the template available - note that there are two tabs. The second one contains the document types to be used
Populating the template
Start populating the template by adding a row with title, URL and type. Type - you can use the dropdown or just copy past
The Document Id [GUID] will by populated bu ValveTrack when uploading the template
Save the Excel template
Uploading the template
Click here
Select the template you just saved
Depending on number of documents it may take a few seconds. Wait for the process to finish
Import summary
As for batch upload of valves, the system will give you a summary of what documents have been added and changed
Submit template
Then you can submit the template
And the document is available here:
Updating a document reference
If you need to make changes you can just download the template again and note that the Document Id [GUID] is now populated:
Then make a change to e.g. description and upload the template
Then submit the template
And the document reference is updated:

Download the template
Download by clicking here:

Contains all the valves in the system with a unique identifier for each valve Valve Id [GUID]:

Is where we will input the relation between the document and the valve
Populate the template
In this case the valve RM441 will be related to the document.
So I copy the Valve Id [GUID] to the reference tab:
An do the same with the document
Upload the template
The you get a summary
And just submit

Then you can navigate to the valve:
