You can create multiple plans and set operation types via a bulk uploading of an Excel document. This will create all the plan line items as is written in the Excel file.
Go to the Planner section
Under the Planned sub-section, you will find the Import plans button.
NB: You can only create plans when you are in the Planned sub-section.
Plans import
Download the Excel template by clicking the Plans import - 1. Download template.
Find the template in the local Download folder (NB: the name of the file will be VT - (field name) - Plans Import)

The Excel template contains all the plans that are currently in the 'Planned' stage in ValveTrack:
All rows with an existing GUID (column A) exists already. Title (column B) and Campaign (column C) can be changed, but do not change the GUID (column A) as that will create a system error when uploading the template.
Editing a plan with Excel
If any, make the desired changes to the title and the campaign texts of the existing plan name(s).
Adding a plan with Excel
Create a new plan with a new row in the Excel template. Name the plan in Column B (Title) and add a campaign name (if relevant) in column C, leave Column A blank (which is a trigger to the system to create a new plan in ValveTrack and the GUID will be automatically created and assigned to the plan).
Uploading the Excel template
Save the Excel file with the added/edited plans and click on the Upload template button.
The system is running a validation check of the template. You can quickly see the legend letter in the first column what plans have been updated (U) or newly created (N).
Press Submit template and make sure the plan change(s) is correct in the Planned list
Planned operations type import
You can now add the different operation types in the plan (NB: it must be created first) in an additional step, via the same Excel template upload process as usual. Please note that plans from both Planned and Ready for execution sub-sections will be included in the Excel download in order to make it easier to be run a MOC process to an already created plan.

Find the template in the local Download folder (NB: the name of the file will be VT - (field name) - Planned Operations Import). NB: please use the Planned operations import (recommended) file as the other one (legacy) will be discontinued soon.

The Excel template contains all the planned operations that are currently in the 'Planned' and 'Ready for execution' stage in ValveTrack so please be careful picking the correct plan name prior to editing the operation types:
NB: rows/columns marked with Read-only should never be changed as any change to the text will throw an error during the template upload validation process. Some attributes are marked read-only and has a formula auto-populating the cells from the other tabs. Please do not change any of these columns during your edit.

Adding operation types with Excel
Go to the Planned operations tab in the Excel template. Find the relevant plan (row) you want to add or edit operations types to.
In Column A - please choose the relevant plan from the drop-down in the first empty row cell (NB: the plan needs to have been created in order to show up in the drop-down list. Please read 'Plans import' steps above to create your plans or add the plan directly in the system)
Then choose the relevant valve from the drop-down list in column B to add to the existing plan.
Then choose the relevant Operation Type from the drop-down list in Column C to add to the existing plan:
Columns D & E will be automatically updated when you update column A & B.
Column F (Planned Operation ID) will be automatically created for any newly added row to a plan. If you want to Edit a row, just change the Operation Type in the drop-down list for that relevant row/plan and keep the column F GUID the same.
Column G needs to be updated with the correct order in the plan (if left blank, it will throw an error in the upload validation process).
Column H is free text and not required to be filled out anything.
Columns I through L will be automatically updated with the valve meta-data once you choose your valve in column B.

Save the Excel file with added/edited plans and click on the Upload template button. The system will run a validation of the file. You can quickly see the legend letter in the first column what has been updated (U) or newly created (N).

Press Submit template and verify that the plan includes all the correct Planned operation types and in the correct sequence order as desired. You can now also add specific conditions for any line item operation as relevant.
