Creating Preventative Maintenance Requests with 86 Repairs in the Portal
Updated over a week ago

Maintenance is a must-have to keep kitchens running. 86 Repairs's preventative maintenance (PM) tools are designed to help your restaurant stay on schedule while preventing downtime and reducing overall repair costs.

Follow these steps to create PM requests at your location.

Step One: Click the teal "New Request" button in the top right corner of the screen

Step Two: Select "Preventative Maintenance" from the "Request Type" dropdown

Once Preventative Maintenance is selected as the request type, the other drop down fields will appear.

Step Three: Select the location(s) PM needs to be completed at

Click the checkbox next to the location you're creating a PM request for.

Step Four: Select what asset category needs PM

Click the checkbox next to the asset category that needs PM.

Step Five: Verify the equipment receiving PM

All equipment in your inventory that falls into that asset category will be selected as needing PM performed on it by default.

If certain asset(s) don't need to be included in the PM, click the trash can icon to remove it from the PM list.

If there are asset(s) not listed that need to be included in the PM service, click the "Add" button highlighted in blue and select any asset(s) that need to be included.

Step Six: Set the cadence of PM, provide a brief description of what services are needed, and select the priority level

You can establish cadences for weekly, monthly, quarterly, or yearly occurrences.

❗NOTE: Since PM is set on a cadence, there will always be a PM request open for the asset category after the first request is marked as complete. The 86 Repairs system auto-creates a new PM request that will show you when the next PM service needs to occur.

Click the "Create" button to open the request.
