The TV Adapter is a versatile device that allows you to enjoy multimedia content directly on your car’s display via HDMI. Follow this step-by-step guide to set it up and maximize your experience.

Step 1: Connect the TV Adapter

  1. Plug in the TV Adapter:
Use the provided USB cable to connect the adapter to your car's USB port. When connected, the device's light will turn blue, signaling it's powered on and ready for use.

  2. Verify Car Screen Buttons:
On your car's display, two buttons will appear:

    • CarPlay/Android Auto (left side)

    • HDMI (right side)
This confirms that your car's system has successfully recognized the adapter.

Step 2: Connect Devices to the HDMI Port

  1. Plug in Your Device:
Connect any compatible device (e.g., Roku, Fire TV Stick, Chromecast) to the HDMI port on the TV Adapter.

  2. Power Your Device:
Most devices require an external power source. Use another USB port in your car or a portable charger to power them.

  3. Optional: Connect Your Phone:
If you prefer to connect your phone, use an HDMI-to-USB-C adapter (for Android) or HDMI-to-Lightning adapter (for iPhone).

    • Important: Many streaming apps (e.g., Netflix, Amazon Prime Video) use HDCP protection. Be sure to use HDCP-compliant cables and adapters to avoid playback issues.

Step 3: Activate the HDMI Function

  1. Select the HDMI Input:
On your car’s display, tap the HDMI button to activate the feature. This will allow your connected device to display content on your car's screen.

  2. Connect to the Internet (if needed):
If your device, like a TV Stick, requires internet access, follow these steps to set up a Wi-Fi connection:

    Using Your Phone’s Hotspot:

    • iPhone:

      • Go to Settings > Personal Hotspot

      • Ensure Allow Others to Join is turned on.

    • Android:

      • Go to Settings > Connections > Hotspot & Tethering

      • Turn on the Hotspot. Alternatively, access it from the notification bar.

For Roku or Fire TV Stick:

    • If there’s no stable Wi-Fi in your car, you can connect your device to your phone’s hotspot.

Step 4: Connect to the Internet on Roku or Fire TV Stick

  1. Connecting Roku to Wi-Fi:

    • Turn on the Roku device and plug it into the TV Adapter’s HDMI port.

    • Select HDMI on your car's screen.

    • Go to Settings > Network > Set up connection, then choose Wireless and connect to your Wi-Fi network.

  2. Connecting Fire TV Stick to Wi-Fi:

    • Turn on the Fire TV Stick and connect it to the HDMI port.

    • Select HDMI on the car's display.

    • Go to Settings > Network, choose your Wi-Fi network, and enter the password to connect.

    Ethernet Option:
If using Ethernet, connect an adapter to the Fire TV Stick and plug in an Ethernet cable.

Important Safety Considerations

  • Don’t Use While Driving:
Avoid using this feature while driving, as it can be a dangerous distraction. Only use the HDMI function when your car is parked.

  • Prioritize Safety:
Always stay focused on the road. Your safety and that of others should be your top priority.
