If you’re experiencing the "HDCP Error" on your Roku device or a white screen with your Fire Stick, this guide will help you update your CPHM-1 TV Adapter to resolve the issue. You can also follow these steps if your Fire Stick gets stuck on the Fire TV logo and keeps restarting.

Steps to Fix the Error:

  1. Connect the TV Adapter to a stable power source:
Use a wall-mounted USB charger to avoid interruptions during the update.

  2. Connect to the adapter from your iPhone:

    • Go to your Wi-Fi settings and find the network AutoSky-XXXX (where "XXXX" matches your device).

    • Enter the password: 88888888 (eight times the number 8).

    • Keep your mobile data turned on throughout the process.

  3. Access the configuration menu:

    • Open your iPhone’s browser and type 192.168.2.1 into the address bar.

    • This will open the configuration menu for the TV Adapter.

  4. Perform the firmware update:

    • Scroll down to the Online Update section.

    • Tap the Update button and wait for the download and installation to complete.

    • Important: Do not disconnect the adapter from the power source until the update is fully completed. Doing so may damage the device.

  5. Check the adapter’s status:

    • Once the update is done, the adapter’s LED indicator should turn white.

    • Unplug the device and reconnect it in your vehicle.

  6. Connect and enjoy:

    • Plug in your Roku or Fire Stick and start enjoying all the entertainment options available.
