Federal Privacy Regulations
COPPA (Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act): Banzai adheres strictly to COPPA by never collecting personally identifiable information (such as first and last names or email addresses) from students under age 13. Younger students access the platform using usernames only.
FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act): Banzai safeguards student education records and strictly limits access to authorized classroom educators and administrators. Student performance data, scores, and records are never disclosed to unauthorized third parties.

SOPPA (Student Online Personal Protection Act – Illinois): Banzai protects the personal information of students using online educational services, prohibiting targeted advertising, commercial profiling, and unauthorized data sharing.
SOPIPA (Student Online Personal Information Protection Act – California): Banzai complies with California's student privacy framework by restricting data usage exclusively to educational and school-directed purposes.
