Pricing & Retainers

A quick guide to how package pricing, custom build pricing, monthly retainers, and SaaS subscriptions typically work.

Written by Mohammed Sohaib Amin

Quick summary

  • Packages: usually fixed price (often with fixed setup cost).

  • Package add-ons: some add-ons are fixed price; custom integrations are requirement-based.

  • Custom builds: requirement-based pricing.

  • Retainers: monthly, requirement-based.

  • Products (SaaS): pricing is listed inside each product’s own platform.

Packages (productized services)

Packages are common, repeatable services (e.g., calling systems, LinkedIn automation) that most businesses can use with minimal customization.

Typical pricing structure:

  • Fixed package price

  • Optional fixed setup fee (if you want us to deploy it for you)

  • Optional add-ons:

    • Fixed-price options (pre-defined)

    • Custom integrations (quoted based on requirements)

Custom builds (bespoke)

Custom builds are priced based on:

  • The outcome and scope

  • Integrations required

  • Complexity and edge cases

  • Reliability requirements (monitoring, retries, alerting)

  • Whether you need a UI/dashboard

Reference ranges (depending on scope):

  • Simple operational automation: $300–$500

  • Standard projects: from $500

  • Larger projects: up to $15,000+

Retainers (maintenance)

Retainers are monthly and depend on how much ongoing work is needed to keep the system running smoothly.

This can include monitoring, bug fixes, updates, and improvements.

Notes:

  • Some custom builds may not require a retainer (case-by-case).

  • Products are more likely to require ongoing maintenance.

If the build is a SaaS you will sell externally

If we build something you plan to sell externally (as a SaaS or paid product):

  • Build cost is separate.

  • Retainer is separate.

  • We may also take 20% equity/shares in the product (commercial model).
