Event Caddy's custom registration tool allows you to invite players to participate at a special or discounted rate using the registration package builder. Follow these steps to create and share a special rate package:

  1. Access the Registration Package Builder:

    • Navigate to Player Management > Registration Options.

    • Select the New Registration Option button in the top right-hand corner of the screen.

  2. Build a Special Rate Package:

    • Follow the standard steps to create a new package. [How to build player registration packages]

    • Select the option Do not show this package on website. Will use custom link to send privately to prospective players.

    • Save the package. A unique link will be generated for this special rate package.

  3. Invite Players to Register at a Special/Discounted Rate:

    • Go to the page listing all your registration packages (Player Management > Registration Options).

    • In the 'Actions' column, look for the mail icon. Hover over it to see 'Invite Players'.

    • Select the mail icon, then choose the Copy Link button to copy the URL.

    • Include this URL in any email or text communications you send to prospective players. Only those with the link will have access to the special rate package.

Additional Information (Q&A)

  • How can I generate an invoice for 4 players that I added manually?
When adding players manually from the backend, there is no invoice created. You would need to go through the website and register on their behalf to generate an invoice. You can enable Cash/Check payment methods under My Event -> Event Setup & Settings (with the Event Caddy PRO upgrade) to complete the transaction without immediate payment required.

  • How can I prevent sponsors from sharing registration links when sending them an email with free spots and the option to buy extra spots?
There isn't a foolproof way to stop sponsors from passing the link on to others, other than keeping an eye on the transactions as they are completed. You can include a request in the email asking them not to share the link. In the past, people have been mostly trustworthy, and it shouldn't be a major concern.
