If the app is unable to find or pair to your Fieldy
Make sure you're on the latest version of the iOS app.
Most importantly, make sure you're pairing your Fieldy in the iOS app, not in your phone’s Bluetooth settings.
In your phone's Settings > Bluetooth, toggle the switch to reset the connection.
Force quit the Fieldy app: open the App Switcher and swipe up on the app to quit. Or reinstall the Fieldy app.
If you've paired your Fieldy before, tap "Forget this Device" in Fieldy app Device Settings (top-right corner)). Only then select "Forget this device" for Fieldy in your phone's Bluetooth settings. If you haven't paired Fieldy before, only restart your iPhone.
You should be able to pair again!
If you're not seeing the Blue LED on your Fieldy after these steps, consider a factory reset using the following instructions:
A single click followed by an immediate 10 second long press will factory reset. This should be used as a last resort, as it will wipe Bluetooth pairing information with your phone from your Fieldy. If there are any transcriptions stored on your Fieldy's offline storage at this point, the factory reset will wipe them as well.
Other flows that have worked for users
1.
- Turn the device off
- Turn airplane mode on
- Close the Fieldy App
- Turn airplane mode off
- Turn device on
- Open the Fieldy App
2.
- Turn on airplane mode
- Close fieldy app
- Turn airplane mode on
- Reset fieldy device
- Turn airplane mode off
- Pair inside app
Note: If the OTA update fails during the final verification step, the battery level displays as 0%, or the old Fieldy icon remains visible in the top-right corner, please restart your phone. This typically resolves these issues and allows the app to display the updated device status correctly.
