For instructions on changing a quote's status, see our article here.

Draft

A draft quote is unfinished and has not been shared with a customer. From Draft, a quote can become Pending if sent to a customer, Void or Expired.

Pending

This status appears when a Draft or Negotiated quote has been sent to a customer through email or link, downloaded as a PDF, or emailed to yourself. If an email or link is sent to a customer, the status is automatically updated from Pending to Secured or Lost when the customer chooses Accept or Reject. If the quote is edited after being sent to a customer, its status changes to Negotiated. A Pending quote can also be marked as Cancelled if the customer decides the quote is no longer relevant.

Negotiated

When a Pending quote is further edited it become Negotiated. This happens when a customer requesting changes to the originally proposed quote. When the quote is resubmitted to the customer, it reverts to Pending. To see all previous versions of a quote, select the audit trail on the quote review page.

Void

A Pending quote becomes Void when it is no longer relevant. This option is the same as delete/remove. From Void, a quote can only be resubmitted to bring updated results to the same search parameters. If a new quote is saved it becomes a Draft quote.

Secured

A quote appears as Secured when the customer has accepted the quote. A user can either manually mark a quote as Secured or a quote will automatically become Secured when a customer chooses Accept on the quote link.

Lost

A quote appears as Lost when the customer rejects the quote. A quote will automatically be marked as Lost if the customer chooses Reject online. If a user manually marks a quote as Lost, a screen will appear to record the loss reason. This is very important for tracking trends in quote loss. Read more about recording quote loss here.

Cancelled

This status appears only when a user marks a quote manually as Cancelled, and it is intended to reflect a quote request which has been suspended by the customer. Quotes can be cancelled only if they are in the Pending status.
