Starting January 8, 2025, it will no longer be possible to sign up for the standalone Zelle® app. If you are already using the standalone Zelle® app, you will be able to continue sending and receiving money through the app until March 31, 2025. After this date, the standalone Zelle® app will no longer be available for sending or receiving money through MAJORITY.
This decision was made by Zelle® and affects all banks and credit unions that use the standalone Zelle® app in the United States, not just MAJORITY.
What does this mean for MAJORITY members?
If you already have the standalone Zelle® app, you can continue using it until March 31, 2025.
If you haven’t registered the standalone Zelle® app, you will no longer be able to sign up for the standalone Zelle® starting January 8, 2025.
After March 31, 2025, you’ll need to switch to other payment options.
Is MAJORITY compatible with other payment apps?
Yes! MAJORITY remains fully compatible with Venmo, PayPal, and Cash App, so you can continue using these services seamlessly with your MAJORITY account.
Is there an alternative to Zelle®?
Yes. You can send money to other MAJORITY members through MAJORITY Pay. This service offers instant, secure, and fee-free payments.
Encourage your friends and family to join MAJORITY so you can easily split expenses and transfer money without interruptions.
Can I pay people who don’t have MAJORITY?
Not yet! But we’re working on a new feature that will launch in early 2025, allowing you to pay anyone—even if they don’t have a MAJORITY account. This new functionality will provide more flexibility and convenience. Stay tuned for updates as we get closer to the release.
