Klipboard Money Tokenised Billing in the Inoice Run

Automatically charge customers with tokens and invoice runs

Updated this week

When you have captured a card token from a customer using Pay by Link or Card Terminal, you can allow those tokens to be used for future recurring payments on invoice runs, increasing time to collect money from your customer.

The first setting enables opt in to this functionality by customer account.

Then, when that's enabled, you can, when you have captured a customers card token and consent for it to be used for future payments on contracts and orders, enable the setting "Enable Automatic Payments" against their account.

You then choose the tokenised card.

Then from here, when an invoice is created for this order, be it via an invoice run or from the order itself, the token for the respective payment method is used.

If the payment cannot be taken for any reason, then the invoice will still be generated but remain unpaid, and the associated payment transaction will show as failed. You will be able to collect the payment with another payment method during your credit control procedure.

When a recurring payment is taken via a card token, the invoice is automatically posted, and the subsequent payment will be marked as posted when received.
