Hey there!
At Taplio, we prioritize seamless scheduling for your posts, but occasional issues may arise.
Here are common problems you might encounter and how to resolve them:
Missing Extension: If your post fails to go through, it's likely because the Taplio extension isn't installed on your device.
Please ensure you have installed the extension and try posting again.
Are You Logged into the Same Browser? Ensure you're logged into both platforms using the same browser. This ensures a stable connection between both platforms for reliable posting.
Refreshing Taplio Token: Sometimes, Taplio tokens expire if you don't access both platforms regularly. To refresh the token, visit the website and open the Taplio extension. Look for an option to refresh your Taplio token and reconnect your account.
As shown below:
Once you've completed this step, please allow some time for synchronization, which should resolve the issue.
Did the post include mentions or was it scheduled for your company page?
If your post contains mentions or is scheduled from your company page, it will require the Taplio X extension in order to publish. To ensure the post goes through, please refresh your Taplio token following the steps outlined above.Did the post include any images?
If your post with media fails to publish, it's likely due to a connection issue. To resolve this, try uninstalling and reinstalling the extension. Then, follow the steps to refresh your Taplio token as mentioned above. This should help resolve the issue.
Did the post include a PDF or video attachment?
If your post includes a PDF or video, it uses the extension for processing, which may encounter issues related to expired cookies. To troubleshoot this, ensure you have an active tab opened and schedule another post to test if the problem persists. If the test fails again, it may indicate a media-related issue.
Here are the common media-related issues.
If you are scheduling posts with external media, when attaching the file to your post, please wait for the media(pdf, video or an image) that is attached to that post to fully upload. You can see this as the little document icon below the composer that you use to upload files to your post, will turn into a spinning circle while the media is uploading and turn back into the document icon once the upload is complete.
Once the upload of the media is complete, you can successfully schedule your post or use the "Post Now" option to publish it.For PDFs, this could be due to PDF compression or encoding issues. We recommend using a tool like smallPDF.com to compress or convert the PDF before posting.
For videos, the problem could be with the encoding. We suggest using a tool like freeconvert.com/mp4-converter to convert the video to a compatible format before posting.
In rare cases, images may also have encoding or type issues. We would suggest that you save the image again and try posting it again.
6. I have tried everything but the issue persists.
If you have tried everything and the issue is still present, please reach out to us via team@taplio.com or start a chat with our customer support agent.
