Integrating Twilio is a crucial step in getting started with the Dialer. Phone numbers are at the forefront of your communication strategy.

It is imperative to ensure that your primary Twilio account is accessible and is not currently linked to another system/application. Otherwise, you have the option to use a different primary account or a Twilio subaccount for the Dialer.

Here are the steps in integrating Twilio with the Dialer:

Navigate to the Profile Icon > Profile & Preferences > Integrations. Then, click "Twilio Settings".

Next, enter your Account SID and Auth Token. Then, click "Save". If you do not know your Account SID and Auth Token, see How To Locate Twilio Account SID & Auth Token.

If you already have a Primary Business Profile, feel free to include your Business Profile SID during the initial setup. See How To Locate Twilio Primary Business Profile SID. Otherwise, you may leave the field blank and go back to it once you already have one. See Twilio A2P Brand Registration (Step 1: Create Primary Business Profile).

Integrating Twilio Subaccount

If you prefer to use a subaccount for the Dialer, enter your main Twilio account SID and auth token. Then, place a check on the "I want to proceed with Twilio subaccount" checkbox.

Existing Business Profile: Use this option if you have an existing subaccount with a secondary business profile. See How To Locate Twilio Secondary Business Profile SID.

Create A New Business Profile via API: Use this option if you would like the system to create a new Twilio subaccount via API for the Dialer. You will then have to complete the Trusthub registration for the newly created subaccount or share an existing approved A2P Brand from the primary Twilio account.

Important Notes:

  • Business profile registration via API (inside the Dialer) is only available to users who hold an "ISV Reseller or Partner" type of Twilio main account.

  • Direct Brand users must complete the Secondary Business Profile registration inside the Twilio Console. See How To Locate Twilio Secondary Business Profile SID.
