2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) or two-factor authentication is an authentication method that requires a user to provide two different ways to prove their identity in order to access an account or system. This usually involves a combination of something the user knows (such as a password) and something the user has (such as a physical device such as a cell phone, an app on it, or a third-party email service). 2FA increases security because even if an attacker gains access to one of the authentication factors, they still need the second factor for full access.
By default, to confirm critical actions on an account, you need to enter a code that comes to your email or Telegram. However, email services and phone numbers (with the help of the number an attacker can get access to Telegram) are often attacked by cybercriminals and we recommend that you connect an authenticator app to secure your account even more.
To link to your Google Authenticator account, you need to follow the steps below:
Log in to your ABCeX account
Go to the Profile section
In the Security line against Google Authenticator, switch the toggle switch to on.
Next, follow the steps indicated on the window that opens:
Install the Google Authenticator application via Google Play or App Store
Open it, click on the + icon and then the camera and scan the QR code
Enter the code from Telegram or email
Enter the 6-digit code from Google Authenticator into the corresponding field on our website.
Then click the "Confirm" button.
Once you have successfully linked Google Authenticator to your account, you will be required to enter a 6-digit code generated by the Google Authenticator app on your mobile device each time you try to log in. This will provide an extra layer of security for your account.
Please note that if you forget or lose your mobile device on which Google Authenticator is installed, you can regain access to your account by contacting support and completing the identity verification process.
