Troubleshooting payment issues

If your payment is not going through, there are a few common things to check first.

Common reasons a payment may fail

Payments can fail for reasons such as:

  • insufficient funds

  • expired card details

  • billing information mismatch

  • bank security checks

  • app store payment issues

  • temporary connection problems

  • country, currency, or tax-related restrictions on your payment method

In most cases, the problem is with the payment platform rather than with your Accentify account itself.

First, check where you are paying

How you fix the issue depends on where you are trying to pay.

If you are subscribing through the app, your payment is usually handled by:

  • Apple App Store

  • Google Play

If you are subscribing through the Accentify website, your payment is usually handled by Stripe.

If you are paying through Apple (iOS)

Check that:

  • your Apple payment method is valid

  • your card has not expired

  • your billing details are correct

  • your Apple account has no billing restrictions

  • you are signed into the correct Apple ID

You may also want to try closing and reopening the app before attempting the purchase again.

If you are paying through Google Play (Android)

Check that:

  • your Google Play payment method is valid

  • your card or payment method has enough funds

  • your billing address is correct

  • there are no account restrictions on your Google Play profile

  • you are signed into the correct Google account

If needed, try again after restarting the app or refreshing Google Play.

If you are paying through the Accentify website (Stripe)

Check that:

  • your card details are correct

  • your bank has not blocked the charge

  • your card supports online payments

  • you have enough funds available

  • you complete the full checkout process if your bank asks for verification

If the payment still fails, try a different card or contact your bank to ask whether they are blocking the transaction.

If payment went through but Premium did not unlock

First, give it a moment and then:

  • close and reopen the app

  • make sure you are signed into the correct Accentify account

  • use Restore Purchases if you bought through Apple or Google Play

If you subscribed through the website, sign out and back in again to refresh your account.

If you were charged more than once

This can sometimes happen if:

  • you accidentally purchased on more than one platform

  • a retry was processed after a failed attempt

  • you already had an active subscription under another account

If this happens, contact us in the app with:

  • a screenshot of the charge

  • the date of payment

  • the platform used

  • the email address linked to your Accentify account

We’ll help you work out what happened.

If the issue still is not fixed

If you still cannot complete your purchase, contact us in the app (use the 🚩 button located anywhere in the app) and include:

  • a screenshot if possible

  • what plan you tried to buy

  • which platform you are using

  • what error message you saw

That will help us investigate faster.
