Trouble shooting invoice issues

Having trouble with an invoice? Here are some common issues and how to solve them.


Client did not receive the invoice

  1. Check the client's email address by going to the invoice and verify that the client's email address is correct.

  2. Ask the client to check their spam folder. The invoice email may have been filtered.

  3. Resend the invoice open the invoice and click "Resend".

  4. Share the payment link manually by copying the payment link from the Invoices page and share it with the client directly.


Invoice has the wrong information

If you made a mistake on a sent invoice, you cannot edit it. You will need to:

  1. Make the necessary corrections

  2. Send the new invoice to the client

  3. Ask the client to disregard the original invoice

Payment is not reflected on the invoice

If a client paid but the invoice is not marked as paid:

  1. Check if the payment was made through the payment link If not, you will need to manually match the payment to the invoice.

  2. Check the payment status by going to the payments page to see if the payment is still processing.

  3. Contact support if the payment has been received but is not reflected on the invoice.


Frequently Asked Questions

Why can't I edit a sent invoice?

To maintain a clear audit trail and prevent confusion, sent invoices cannot be edited.

How do I cancel an invoice?

You can cancel a draft invoice. You cannot cancel a sent invoice.
