How and When to Complete the Duet Assessment?

What is Duet, and how and when to complete it

Updated today

Duet is a value-alignment assessment that helps match what you value in a program with what that programs offers.

When and How to Complete Duet

Duet is only required for a select number of programs in the United States and Canada. You’ll gain access to Duet once you add a participating program to your distribution list. For accurate and updated information on whether Duet is required, check the program’s official website or refer to the Dates and Fees page on the Acuity Insights platform.

You may complete Duet any time after reserving your Casper exam, but it is strongly recommended that you do so within 14 days of completing Casper. This helps ensure that all components of your Acuity Insights Assessments are submitted together, especially for programs where they are a formal admission requirement.

Even if you miss the recommended 14-day window, Duet will remain accessible in your account and can still be completed any time before your earliest program distribution deadline.

Your recommended deadline will appear in the Duet section of your Acuity Insights account, but the platform will continue to allow access to Duet after that date.

Completing Multiple Duet Assessments

Some applicants may be required to complete more than one Duet assessment, depending on the exam category (type) and programs they are applying to.

For example, if you're applying to both US Medicine (CSP-10111) and US Professional Health Sciences (CSP-10101), each may have its own unique Duet version. Be sure to review the requirements of each program on your list.

To complete the correct Duet, log into your Acuity Insights account, and choose the appropriate test type from the dropdown menu on your homepage. Each type will display the corresponding Duet if it is required.

Your Duet results are only distributed to the programs on your distribution list that require Duet.

Casper results will be sent to programs 2-3 weeks after your test, regardless of whether Duet has been completed.
