How can I improve, should I need to take the Casper again?

How to Improve Your Casper Test Readiness and Develop Key Skills?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

There are ways that can help you feel more confident and better prepared for the Casper test, or to truly develop the skills Casper assesses for—both for future application cycles and in your career.

Get Comfortable with the Test Format

Research has shown that applicants who are familiar with the test format and platform tend to perform slightly higher on average. Here’s what we recommend:

  • Review all available resources in your Acuity Insights account and on our website.

  • Complete the System Requirements Check using the device you’ll use for the test.

  • Take the practice Casper test—as many times as you need. This lets you experience the exact format and timing. It also makes you familiar with the test platform and know what to expect on test day

Casper isn’t a speed test, but knowing how much time you have and being confident in how to express your ideas can reduce test anxiety. That’s why we encourage you to take the sample test as many times as needed to build comfort and confidence.

If you require additional support, you may also be eligible for test accommodations.

Focus on Real Skill Development

Casper scores tend to stay fairly consistent over time, but that doesn’t mean you can’t grow or improve.

It’s important to know that surface-level coaching strategies (i.e., learning how to game the test, be “test-wise” or “fake good”) will not improve your Casper score. The Casper test is designed to bring out natural, authentic responses under time constraints. So to truly improve, focus on developing the personal and professional qualities the test assesses, such as empathy, communication, ethics, and problem-solving.

Quick FAQ: Improving for a Future Casper Test

1. Can I improve my Casper score if I retake it?

Yes. While scores tend to stay fairly consistent, improvement is possible by focusing on genuine skill development—not test tricks.

2. What should I work on to improve?

Focus on core competencies like empathy, communication, ethics, professionalism, collaboration, and problem-solving. These are some qualities Casper is designed to assess.

3. Do practice tests help?

Absolutely. Taking the practice Casper test multiple times can help you become comfortable with the format and reduce test-day anxiety.

4. Will coaching or test strategies boost my score?

No. Surface-level strategies or trying to “game” the test are unlikely to help. Casper is built to assess authentic, thoughtful responses under time pressure.
