Preparing for test day

Updated over 2 months ago

It is mandatory to perform the system requirements check within six hours prior to starting your test to resolve any issues ahead of time. This can be found on the Reservations and Casper homepage in your Acuity Insights account in the same environment and with the same set-up that you plan to take the test in.

This is to ensure that your webcam, microphone, browser, and internet connection are adequate and working properly.

  • Download an updated version of both Chrome and Firefox here. Please note that only these two web browsers are supported for your test.

  • Restart your computer

  • Close all other applications (e.g., Skype)

  • Use incognito/Private browser

  • Disable any Firewall or pop-up blocker

  • Disable all plug-ins and extensions (e.g., Grammarly)

  • Deactivate your Virtual Private Network (VPN) for Chrome or Firefox

  • Log-in to your Acuity Insights account approximately thirty minutes before your scheduled test time.

Note that webcams and microphones are a strict requirement for your Casper test as part of our identity verification and proctoring. You will also need the webcam for answering the first section of your test where you would be required to record video responses. Your webcam must be active, uncovered, and facing toward you throughout the duration of your test.
