Qualifications we're looking for in mentors:
Minimum of 7+ years of experience and knowledge in their respective fields
Minimum of 1 year of management/leadership experience (e.g Manager, Director, Lead)

Adaptable: Mentors are adaptable in the advice that they give others. Instead of providing a single solution to a problem, they offer several options for how to proceed. This gives their mentees the tools they need to help them make their own decisions.

Eagerness to motivate: Mentors want others to feel excited about the work they are doing. By finding ways to motivate your mentees, you can help them be more productive and successful in their roles.
Knowledge of your industry: Other professionals may be drawn toward you because you have the wisdom and expertise they are looking for. This is why mentors tend to be people who love learning and are willing to become immersed in a certain industry or specialty.

What value does a mentor provide?

Mentor relationships can last anywhere from a one-time session through the lifetime of your career. Some mentors help people in the workplace with a variety of issues such as pursuing promotions, taking on new responsibilities and developing interpersonal relationships.
