Unlock the power of location-based engagement with the Google Maps Module, your key to seamlessly integrating interactive Google Maps directly into your ad. This dynamic module allows users to explore nearby stores, events, or locations of interest with ease. With flexible options, you can enable users to search for specific keywords or display preset locations imported from a .CSV file, providing a personalized and convenient experience.

Use cases

  • Show all locations of an event or stores that sell your product

  • Make it easy for users to directly navigate to a destination of your choice in their vicinity

Example

This example demonstrates how you can easily set up an interactable google map inside your ad, using the keyword search feature.

As with all examples, you can request us to copy them over to your company so you can look at how they are built in detail.

Source

You can choose between two different kinds of source for the results on the map.

  1. Keyword - Use this setting + a keyword you enter below that will be searched on google maps, with the results being marked for the user.

  2. CSV - Use this setting to upload a csv file. Below it, you can choose the location mechanism + select which fields of the .csv contain the data needed for the locations.

Theme

You can select one of many themes with this dropdown. This will change the look and feel of the map and will be previewed inside the editor.

Map type control

Toggles the visibility of the map type controls on the map (Sattelite/Map view).

Fullscreen

Toggles the visibility of the fullscreen option for the user.

Street view

Toggles the visibility of the street view icon, that can be dropped inside the map to see the street view.

Custom center position

Allows you to set up a custom center position that the map will start on. When this option is activated, you'll be able to enter custom lat/lon coordinates below.

Custom texts

These two fields allow you to set up a custom text for the overlay (Displays before the map is activated - e.x. "Click to activate map") and for the search-in-area label that appears when the user scrolls to an area where there are no results shown due to search range (for keyword based searches).

Results limit

Some keyword searches return too many results, which may cause the map to look cluttered. In that case, you can limit the results to 1-50 results.

Initial zoom

With this slider, you can adjust the initial zoom level of the map - The text below will tell you how wide the selected view is approximately.

Pin settings

For the pins - you can upload a custom asset for the pins that represent locations and for the one that is currently selected by the user (active). Also, you can change the color of the pin that represents the user location ("Pin color").

Properties & Clickout

As for the Background module, the Google Maps module allows you to change different properties like the opacity seperately in the "Properties" tab.

Also, you can set up a clickout link for the Google Maps module as usual.

Interactions

The Google Maps offers all standard triggers & actions that the Background module offers as well. Furthermore, the Google Maps module offers:

Triggers

  • Map activated = Triggers when a user clicks the map to activate it

Actions for other modules

The Google Maps module offers no specific actions to be triggered through other modules.
