You would be aware that a new Australian Cardiovascular Risk Calculator was launched in advance of the release of the new edition of the National Standard for Health Assessment of Rail Safety Workers later this year.
However, the cardiac risk assessment tables and action levels for Category 1 workers in the 2017 edition (in use now) are based on the old risk calculator. The risk level obtained for an individual when using the new calculator can vary compared to the old calculator.
The new edition is currently in the approval stages at state level, and we will provide communications about any changes prior to its release. In the meantime, a link to the OLD calculator is here:
