Smart Funnel automatically selects and displays the most compelling post-purchase offer for each shopper. Powered by Rokt’s industry-leading AI and machine learning models, trained on millions of transactions across diverse verticals, it continuously analyzes your store’s performance data and customer behavior. The model updates in real time, so the longer it runs, the better it gets at matching the right offer to the right customer.

Smart Funnel is evaluated at Priority 0.
This means that if a shopper meets the eligibility criteria, the Smart Funnel offer will be shown before any manual funnels.
Key Settings
Steps to Set Up Smart Funnel:
Enable the Smart Funnel: Access Aftersell's funnel settings and activate the Smart Funnel option. Follow the on-screen prompts to begin setup.
Adjust Allocation: If you'd like the Smart Funnel to handle all eligible customers, set its allocation to 100%.
Define Offer Parameters: Choose the maximum discount amount you are comfortable offering.
Select Industry: Pick the industry that best matches your business. For example, fashion brands can select "Apparel and Fashion."
Optional Highlight Product: Leave this blank unless you have a single, high-performing product you'd like to promote.
Save and Test: Complete the setup and test the Smart Funnel to ensure it aligns with your upsell strategy.
Important notes:
AI Recommended Products
Smart Funnel pulls product recommendations from your chosen Product Recommendation Tool (configured under Settings → Automatic Upsells). You can exclude specific SKUs there as well.
If your highlighted product goes out of stock, or if the selected layout calls for multiple items, the AI automatically substitutes the next-best products.
Highlighted Product (Optional)
Optionally, pin a specific item as the “hero” offer when using single-product or hero-product layouts. This is a fast way to promote overstock inventory or proven best-sellers while still benefiting from Smart Funnel optimization.
Thank You Page Widgets
Smart Funnel currently governs post-purchase upsells only. Thank You Page product-recommendation widgets and similar placements still rely on your manual funnels. If a shopper sees a Smart Funnel offer, the manual funnel’s post-purchase offers will be suppressed, but its Thank You Page widgets can still appear if the shopper matches that funnel’s triggers.
English-Only Display
Smart Funnel content is currently only available in English.
To ensure a seamless experience, the system will automatically restrict delivery to customers whose locale is not set to English. If a significant portion of your audience speaks other languages, we recommend continuing to use manual funnels with locale-based triggers to serve those shoppers effectively.
