Accessing the Order Browser
In your Shopify admin, navigate to:
Apps → Aftersell by Rokt → Order Browser
The Order Browser Table
The main Order Browser page displays a table of recent orders along with key Aftersell-related information.
Each row represents a single order, and each column provides insight into the order itself and the post-purchase experience.
The Order column shows the Shopify order number. Clicking the order number opens a detailed view of Aftersell activity for that order.
The Date, Shipping address, and Sales channel columns provide basic order context.
The Total reflects the final order value, including any accepted upsells.
The 1-Click status indicates whether the post-purchase page was shown to the customer.
The TY Page status shows what happened on the Thank You page, including whether an upsell was accepted there.
The Rokt Thanks column indicates whether the Rokt Thanks experience loaded.
The Triggered Funnel column shows which funnel range was eligible to run for the order.
Searching and Filtering Orders
The Order Browser includes several tools to help you find specific orders or analyze performance.
Search
Use the search bar at the top to search by:
Order number
Shipping address
Order tags
Filters
Filters allow you to narrow down the order list further. Click Add filter + to filter by sales channel or by offer status.
Offer status filter
The Offer status filter helps you understand where upsells were accepted. You can filter orders based on whether an upsell was accepted on the post-purchase page, the Thank You page, or within the Rokt Thanks experience. Filters can be combined to focus on specific sets of orders.
Multiple filters can be combined to narrow down results.
Date Range and Exporting
Use the date selector in the top-right corner to adjust the time period shown. You can select a preset range, such as the last 30 or 60 days, or choose a custom date range.
By default, the Order Browser shows the last 30 days of orders. To find an order older than 30 days, update the date range to Last 60 days.
Orders older than 60 days can’t be viewed in the Order Browser.
Click Export to download the orders currently shown in the table. Exports respect all selected filters and date ranges.
The exported file includes one row per order and contains the same key information shown in the Order Browser, including order details, total order value, offer statuses, and the triggered funnel.
Viewing an Individual Order
Clicking an order number opens the order detail view. This view shows a complete record of Aftersell activity for the order, including which funnels were eligible, which offers appeared, and where an upsell was accepted.
Order Header and Details
At the top of the order detail view, you’ll see a summary of Aftersell activity, including the order number, order date, and the status of post-purchase, Thank You page, and Rokt Thanks experiences.
Below the header, the order information section shows all products in the order, including any accepted upsells, along with quantities, pricing, and final totals.
On the right-hand side, additional details such as the shipping address, payment method, customer tags, order tags, and discount codes are displayed.
Order Tags
Aftersell automatically adds order tags in Shopify to indicate which type of upsell was accepted and how it was processed.
Aftersell TY Upsell
Indicates a Thank You page upsell was accepted.
Aftersell TY Page
Indicates a Thank You page upsell was accepted and merged into the original order.
Aftersell TY Original
Indicates the original order when a Thank You page upsell created a new, separate order instead of merging with the original order.Aftersell Upsell
Indicates that an upsell was accepted through Aftersell, either via a post-purchase (1-Click) upsell or a Thank You page upsell.
Aftersell order tags are added automatically and can’t be modified, removed, or customized. These tags are required for Aftersell to accurately track accepted upsells and are a built-in part of the app’s functionality. Because of this, custom order tags can’t be added through Aftersell
Aftersell 1‑Click Events
This section shows a step‑by‑step timeline of the post-purchase (1‑Click) experience.
You’ll see events such as:
Trigger checked – confirms the order was evaluated for eligibility
Offer preparation – shows which funnel was selected
Impression – the offer was displayed to the customer
Clicked accept / clicked decline – how the customer responded
Skipped Upsells
If an upsell within your offer was skipped, you’ll see an explanation banner describing why. Common reasons include:
The upsell product was already in the original order
An AI-recommended product did not return a valid recommendation
These messages help explain why fewer offers may have appeared than expected.
Aftersell TY Page Events
This section displays activity related to Thank You page upsells.
A status of Accepted means the customer accepted an upsell on the Thank You page
You can review the sequence of impressions and actions that led to the acceptance
Aftersell Rokt Thanks Events
This section shows whether the Rokt Thanks experience loaded for the order.
Not loaded indicates the Rokt Thanks placement did not appear for this order
If loaded, you’ll see a similar event timeline outlining customer interactions
Offer Status Definitions
Throughout the Order Browser and order detail view, offers may appear with different statuses.
Not triggered means the upsell was not displayed, typically because the order did not meet the funnel’s trigger rules or the customer exited before the offer loaded.
Accepted means the customer accepted the upsell. Accepted offers are added to the order and reflected in Shopify
Skipped means that the 1-Click Upsell section wasn’t shown to the customer.
This is either because:
Upsell Item is in the original order
Aftersell was not selected as the active post-purchase app
The order didn’t meet one of Shopify’s Post-Purchase requirements.
Here are some of the most common requirements:
The order must be at least $0.50 (so no 100% OFF discount codes for example)
The order must be placed in the store's default currency.
The order must not have duties or landed costs
The order must be placed with a supported payment method
Unavailable means the upsell could not be shown due to eligibility, product, configuration, or platform limitations. This can occur if a product is out of stock or unpublished, if the payment method is not supported, or if the order does not meet Shopify’s post-purchase (1-Click) requirements.
When this occurs, you’ll often see a banner in the order timeline explaining why the offer was skipped or unavailable.
Learn more about post-purchase eligibility requirements and supported payment methods.
Shopify sets the eligibility requirements for post-purchase (1-Click) offers, including which payment methods are supported. These rules apply to all post-purchase apps and can’t be changed by Aftersell.
Thank You page offers aren’t affected in the same way - if post-purchase offers are frequently unavailable, we recommend setting up Thank You page upsells.
