Good news: virtual try-on works across colour variants of the same product. Once colours are set up in Shopify, shoppers can see themselves in one colour and switch to another in the try-on result. There's nothing to configure inside AI Frame — it detects your variants automatically.
Step 1: Set up your colour variants in Shopify
In your Shopify admin, open the product.
Select Add options like size or colour, then choose Colour.
Click Add variant and define each colour.
For each colour variant, select the image that matches that colour.
Enter the price and quantity for each variant.
Click Save.
💡 A little tip: give each colour its own matching image. That's what lets try-on show the correct colour when a shopper switches. If the first product image is a lifestyle shot, set a try-on reference photo on Virtual Try-On so the engine uses a clean, garment-only shot.
Step 2: That's it — AI Frame does the rest
Shoppers tap Try On on the first product image. When they choose a colour, the try-on renders that variant. Size Chart and Estimate my size stay on the product page regardless of colour — they follow the chart assigned to the product, not the variant.
