Noticed Try On has gone after updating or switching your theme? Nothing's broken and your settings are safe. When you change a theme, the app embed that powers Try On, Size Chart, and Sizing assist sometimes needs to be switched back on.
Why this happens
A new or updated Shopify theme doesn't automatically carry over app embeds. AI Frame lives inside an app embed, so when the new theme takes over, the embed can switch off. Turning it back on brings Try On on the first product image, Size Chart next to Size, and (on Starter and above) Estimate my size above Add to cart.
The fix
The quickest way is to turn the embed back on from Get started:
In your Shopify admin, go to Apps → AI Frame – Virtual Try-On.
On the dashboard, open Turn on AI Frame.
If you have more than one theme, pick your live (published) theme.
Click Turn on in Theme Editor. Toggle AI Frame – Virtual Try-On on, then Save.
Then open a product page and check that Try On is back on the first product image.
Still not showing? Re-enable the app embed
In your Shopify admin, go to Online Store → Themes.
On your current theme, click Customize.
Click the App embeds icon (the puzzle piece) in the bottom-left.
Find AI Frame – Virtual Try-On and toggle it on.
Click Save.
Check it worked
Open a product page. Confirm Try On on the first product image. On a product with a published Size Chart assigned, confirm Size Chart next to Size. If Size Recommender is on (Starter+), confirm Help us find your size above Add to cart.
💡 A quick way to confirm: open Virtual Try-On in the app's left menu — the Embed status section at the top shows a green “Active on your storefront” badge when everything's connected. Next to that is Trust & data.
