Add AI Frame to your product page

Turn on the app embed and optional app blocks (Virtual Try-On, Size Chart link, Sizing assist) on your Online Store 2.0 product page. Sizing assist is available on every plan.

AI Frame adds Virtual Try-On and Size Chart tools to your Shopify product pages. You turn them on in the theme editor. No code.

Before you start

  1. Install AI Frame – Virtual Try-On & Size Chart from the Shopify App Store.

  2. Use an Online Store 2.0 theme (most current themes). Vintage themes may not support app blocks.

  3. In the AI Frame app, finish Activate your plan (Free is fine).

  4. Optional but recommended: publish at least one Size Chart and assign it to products (see How to Set Up a Size Chart for Your Products).

Get started with AI Frame checklist

The three surfaces

  1. App embed (required): turns AI Frame on for the theme. With the embed on, Try On, Size Chart, and Sizing assist can appear on product pages.

  2. App blocks (optional): pin placement in Theme Editor.

    • Virtual Try-On: Try On pill on the product image

    • Size Chart link: text link near the Size option

    • Sizing assist: size recommendation UI near the size picker

  3. Theme Editor: where you add, move, preview, and Save.

You need the app embed on every theme you use. App blocks are for placement control. They do not replace the embed.

Steps: turn on the app embed

From the AI Frame app (fastest)

  1. Open Apps → AI Frame – Virtual Try-On.

  2. Open Get started with AI Frame.

  3. Open Turn on AI Frame.

  4. Click Turn on in Theme Editor.

  5. Toggle AI Frame – Virtual Try-On / Virtual Try-On Embed on.

  6. Click Save.

Manual path

  1. Go to Online Store → Themes.

  2. On your live theme, click Customize.

  3. Open App embeds (puzzle piece) in the left sidebar.

  4. Find AI Frame – Virtual Try-On / Virtual Try-On Embed.

  5. Toggle it on, then Save.

Steps: optional app blocks (exact placement)

  1. In Theme Editor, open the page selector → Products → Default product (repeat for every product template you use).

  2. Click Add block.

  3. Under Apps, add as needed:

    • Virtual Try-On

    • Size Chart link

    • Sizing assist

  4. Drag each block to the right spot (Try On on media, Size Chart link near size, Sizing assist above Add to cart).

  5. Click Save.

Check that it works

  1. Open a product page on your live theme.

  2. Confirm Try On on the first product image.

  3. If a published Size Chart is assigned to that product, confirm the Size Chart link near Size.

  4. Confirm Sizing assist (for example “Help us find your size” / “Your size: M”) near the size picker when Size Recommender is enabled in the app.

Good to know

  • Size Chart only shows when a published Size Chart is assigned to that product (or its collection/rules).

  • Custom product templates do not inherit blocks from Default product. Add blocks on each template you use.

  • Free includes Size Recommender with a monthly sized-shopper limit. Upgrade if you need a higher limit.

  • Turning the app embed off hides AI Frame for that theme.
