Connecting Track

How to connect your Track account to Adapt using a Server Key and Secret, what happens after connecting, and how to disconnect.

Connect your Track account to bring your units into Adapt, see recommended rates, and (when you're ready) sync prices automatically. Track connects with a Server Key and Server Secret you create in Track and paste into AirDNA, along with your Track URL.

Connecting is free, and you stay in full control. Connecting brings your units and rates into Adapt so you can see recommendations. Your current rates won't change, nothing syncs to Track until you choose to, and you can disconnect anytime.

Before you start

You'll need a Track user with a role that can manage company settings, so you can create an API key. You'll also need your Track URL, the address you use to sign in (for example, https://yourdomain.trackhs.com).

Start the connection in AirDNA

  1. Open the connection flow in any of these ways:

    • If this is your first connection, select the connect prompt on your home page.

    • Click Adapt in the left-hand navigation.

    • Go to your profile and click Add Channel.

  2. Choose Property Management Software (PMS), then select Track.

Create your Server Key in Track

  1. Sign in to your Track account.

  2. Open Configuration (the gear icon), then go to Company Setup > API Keys.

  3. Click + Server Key, name it Adapt, make sure it's active, and save.

  4. Copy the Server Key and Server Secret.

Finish in AirDNA

  1. Back in AirDNA, enter your Track URL and paste the Server Key and Server Secret into their fields.

  2. Click Secure connection.

When it works, you'll see "Successfully connected to Track!" and your units will begin importing.

What happens after you connect

  • All units on your Track account import automatically, along with their calendars. There's no need to select them one by one, and importing can take a few moments.

  • Recommended Adapt rates generate within a few minutes.

  • Nothing is pushed back to Track yet. To start syncing prices, see How Rate Syncing Works.

Ongoing sync: after the first import, Adapt automatically syncs with Track every 24 hours. Each sync refreshes your units, calendars, bookings, and reviews, and, once you've turned on rate syncing, pushes your latest prices and availability (minimum stay and check-in/check-out rules) back to Track.

What data Adapt accesses

When you connect Track, Adapt accesses the following. Fetch means Adapt reads it from Track. Push means Adapt writes it back to Track, and only after you turn on rate syncing yourself.

What Adapt reads (fetch)

  • Units and unit details

  • Bookings

  • Reviews

  • Rates and availability

What Adapt can push (only after you turn on rate syncing)

  • Nightly prices

  • Availability, including minimum night stay and check-in / check-out restrictions

Adapt doesn't push weekly or monthly discounts or fees to Track. Keep managing those in Track. Everything Adapt reads stays read-only, and Adapt won't change your pricing or calendar until you turn on rate syncing.

Units priced by unit type. If a unit's prices are set at the unit type level in Track, Adapt updates prices for that unit type, so every unit of that type gets the same rate.

Using another pricing tool? If you decide to sync rates with AirDNA Adapt, turn off any other pricing tool connected to Track first, since the two will otherwise overwrite each other.

Troubleshooting

  • "Failed to connect to Track. Please check your credentials and try again." Check that your Track URL is the address you sign in with, such as https://yourdomain.trackhs.com, and that you copied the full Server Key and Server Secret. Make sure the key is active in Track. If it still fails, create a fresh Server Key in Track and try with the new one.

How to disconnect

  1. Click your profile, then go to Connections.

  2. Find your Track connection and choose to delete it.

  3. Confirm when prompted.

Disconnecting removes Track and its units from your account. This can't be undone, but you can reconnect anytime with a new Server Key.
