"Clocking in" signifies the beginning of a work shift, while "clocking out" indicates the conclusion of that shift. The duration between "clock in" and "clock out" represents the total hours worked during that particular shift.
Mobile:
Please Note!
To commence your shift, you can "Clock-In" when it becomes visible on the "Me" tab within the user menu. Shifts will typically be accessible on the day they are scheduled to occur.
It's crucial to "Clock-In" and "Clock-Out" from your designated work location rather than from a distant location. This action will be recorded in the system for administrators to review, ensuring that you are physically present at the worksite during the time of clocking in and out.
Here is a step-by-step process to help you clock in and clock out:
Clock In or Start Shift:
1. Go to the “Me” tab you see at the bottom of the screen. When the “Me” tab is opened, at the top you will see the shifts for today. Click on “Start Shift”.
2. Now the map will show the distance from your current location to the working site. Click on “Start Shift” again.
3. Depending on your employer's settings, in the following step, your camera may activate, and you will be required to take a picture of yourself. Once you have captured your image, a checkmark will appear. Simply tap on the checkmark, and your shift will begin.
Clock Out or End Shift:
Similar to when you started the shift by going to the “Me” tab, now you can see the option to “End Shift”.
To end the shift, follow these steps:
Click on “End Shift”.
Details of your shift will appear. Click on “End Shift” again.
If set up by the employer, the camera will open. Take a photo and tap on the check sign. You have ended your shift. The shift status will be changed to “Completed”.
Web:
Clock In/Start Shift:
From the main menu, hover over “Schedule”, and click on “List”.
Go to the shift you want to clock in.
Click on “Actions”.
3. Select “Clock In”. The shift will start.
Good to know
You can only clock-in to a “Confirmed” shift.
“The map is not available in the web portal due to web browsers' positioning inaccuracy”.
“Photo not required on the web portal”
Clock Out/End Shift:
Click on “Actions”.
Select “Clock Out”
The shift will end.
A timesheet entry will be added automatically. Go to your timesheet and confirm. Wait for your employer to approve the timesheet. You will get a notification when it is approved.
FAQ:
Will I be able to clock in after the shift's scheduled start time?
You will be able to clock in anytime until the shift is scheduled to end.
What happens if I don't clock out of the shift?
If you have clocked in, but don't clock out when the shift is scheduled to end, the shift clock will remain active i.e., you will go into overtime. If you still haven't clocked out after the shift started, the system will clock you out automatically and set the shift's scheduled end time as the shift's actual end time on the timesheet.
