The shifts in the Schedule view have different statuses, which are visually shown by them having a different colour to the normal position colour or having some other characteristics to indicate their status.
If you want to see more details and options about a shift, simply hover over a shift and click on the info icon.
Open and waiting for confirmation
To understand open shifts and awaiting confirmation shifts, please read Shift types.
Unpublished shifts
Unpublished shifts show on the schedule as border only which means that these are not yet published, meaning, they have not been made visible to employees yet. You can swap these or cancel and the people wouldn't get any notification about it — this allows you to schedule with ease and arrange the shifts as needed.
Once you're happy with everything, you can publish the shifts. Use the red 'Publish & send' button to publish all the shifts seen on the calendar at once, or tick the check mark on the shift to publish just one individual shift. Hover over the shift to see the options.
Published and approved shifts
The full colour stands for shifts that have been assigned and published to people and, if required, also approved. These are shifts that are completely confirmed, and no further action needs to be taken.
Completed Shifts
Completed shifts have full colour with a check icon.
Approved Shifts
Approved shifts have full colour with a thumbs-up icon.
Selecting Shifts from the Bottom Status Bar
At the bottom of the schedule calendar, you can see the aggregated number of each status and position visible on the calendar. This number depends on the time range you have selected.
For example, if you have selected “Month”, it will show you shifts for the whole month and so on. Clicking on the status on the bottom bar will select all shifts with that particular status.
Hover over a shift and click the info icon for more details. You can also use the below table to identify the status of the shift by its colour.
Please Note! On the List view, you can identify a shift status and position with tags instead of colours. The below table shows you both tags and the colour associated with the shifts.
