The purpose of this article is to give an overview of how to set up certifications and put them to use in your system.

Certifications can be used to filter employees to match the right candidate for the right job.

For example, a Shift manager at a certain site needs to have a valid First Aid training certificate to do shifts in that role. As they are responsible for the employees at that site and for first aid in case of emergencies.

Another example is that for a guard to work shifts, they need to have a valid SIA Badge based on the regulatory requirements, which can also be managed through certifications.

To use certifications system-wide, follow these guidelines:

You can set up certifications in the Ajeero system as instructed in Adding certifications to the system.

Certifications are a way to make sure that the employee is qualified for the work requirements. To add certifications to staff, follow the steps mentioned in Adding Certifications to Employees.

If a site has specific qualification requirements, certifications are a great way to add them to the site. Please read Adding Certifications to sites.

You can filter staff by certification. You can add one or multiple certifications to the filter. For example, if you filter by certification, it will only show the staff in the list who are related to that certification.

To access the schedule page, click Schedule from the main menu.

Similarly, on the roaster page, you can narrow down the staff list by Certification.

To access the Roaster page, hover over Schedule from the main menu and click Roaster.

When assigning shifts to the staff, you can filter Staff based on certifications to assign the right job to the right person. Filters are available on the left sidebar.

When creating a shift pattern, in the 3rd step where you match the job with the candidate, the filters on the left sidebar allow you to filter staff by certification.
