Why can't people see Open Shifts?

There can be various reasons why staff cannot see open shifts. See the below steps to make sure the staff can see the open shifts.

1. System Settings – Portal Settings

In Portal Settings under System Settings, ensure that “Show Open Shift on Staff Portal” is turned on. To directly access portal settings, hover over Staff from the main menu and click Settings.

2. Match Criteria

Another reason why people are unable to see the open shift can be one of the match criteria settings is turned on. These settings include Position Match, Certification Match, and Preferred Staff Match.

If the Position and Certification match is turned on, the system will match the shift criteria with the staff profile. Position and certification need to be added to the staff profile. Criteria will be taken from the Position defined in the shift and certification added to the Site Profile.

If the Is Preferred Staff Match Required setting is turned on, the staff needs to be present in the Preferred Staff List under the Site profile.

3. Site Settings

If the staff still cannot see open shifts, then you need to check the individual site settings. These settings give you the flexibility to turn on/off open shift visibility.

On the site profile page, scroll down to the Settings section and click the slider to turn on “Staff Can See Open Shifts”.

Please Note! Wherever and whenever you make changes on the portal, don’t forget to save your changes.
