Akada is excited to partner with Stripe!

Stripe is a leading global payment processing platform that allows merchants to accept credit card payments with ease.

With Stripe, you’ll enjoy:

  • Fast setup – Get started in just 15 minutes

  • Transparent pricing – Only 3.5% + $0.30 per transaction on all cards

  • Availability - processing for Canada, Australia, and a wide range of other countries.

This partnership makes it easier than ever to manage and receive payments securely and efficiently.

**Note: Enabling Stripe requires modern Akada settings, accounts, and parent portal interfaces. These will be automatically enabled when you switch.**

How To Set Up Stripe:

  • Scroll down the Akada menu on the left side of your screen until you see the Settings section.

  • Click on the Credit Cards screen.

  • The section at the top of the screen contains information about Stripe and the rates offered.

  • When you're ready, click the Get Started button.

  • We've provided you with a road map of the onboarding process on the resulting screen. You're now ready to start your Stripe application.

  • Once you have submitted your Stripe application and it has been approved, we will notify you via pop-up on the home screen when you log in.

  • Once you've been notified, click Go to Settings and then click the Switch to Stripe button.

  • Lastly, once Stripe is enabled, we will prompt you to email your clients and request that they save or update their credit cards.

NOTE: If you're transitioning to Stripe from another payment processor, you can continue accepting payments through your previous provider as long as that account remains active. Once customers update their saved card information, future payments will be processed through Stripe.

Saved Credit Cards:

This section of the Credit Cards screen, shown below, lets you view which accounts do or do not have a saved card, see which processor the card is saved to, and check whether a new credit card has been requested. You can request new cards for all accounts or for individual accounts, and if a request was made by mistake, you also have the option to remove it.

Additional Options:

The additional options section of the credit card setup screen allows you to choose which credit card brands you accept and to enter your studio's return policy, which is found at the bottom of your receipts.

Cash Discounts & Credit Card Fees:

Akada gives you the option of either offering a discount on cash payments or including a convenience fee for credit card payments. We highly recommend checking both your Stripe contract and your local laws and regulations before taking either of these steps.
