Discounts/Credit Card Fees:

Akada offers you the ability to charge either a credit card processing fee or a cash discount. Most of us have seen or been charged a CC processing fee before; however, the card companies (Visa/MC, Amex, Discover) aren't big fans of this, and, in some instances, it will break your contract to charge a fee. We highly recommend reading your contract and checking local laws before implementing a credit card fee.

An alternative to the CC fee is to offer a cash discount. Rather than charging card users a bit more, you're charging cash/check users less.

  • Enter the percentage or amount of the discount.

  • Click Save.

*Should you choose the CC fee route, click the "use processing fee" button and then follow the steps above.
