Boost engagement and conversion rates by adding an interactive scratch-off element to your Alia campaigns.

Adding the Scratch-Off Element

A scratch-off popup is a powerful gamification tool that encourages users to interact with your brand in exchange for a reward. In Alia, you can implement this either as a starting point for a new campaign or as an additional step in an existing workflow.

To get started, you need to add scratch off to your popup. You can do that in two ways:

  1. During Campaign Creation: When you are setting up a new campaign from scratch, you can select the Scratch Off template as your very first step.

  2. Adding to an Existing Popup: If you already have a campaign running, open the editor and click the + (Plus) button in the step management area. Select "Scratch Off" from the element list.

Once added to an existing popup, you can easily drag and drop the scratch-off step to place it exactly where you want it in your user journey.

Editing Reward Text

On the left-hand side of the editor, you will find the content section under the scratch-off element. You can edit the reward description by clicking on the text element and editing it on right side of the editor.

Visual Customization

Once your text is set, use the right-hand editing section to match the element to your brand's visual identity. You can customize the following:

  • Text Size & Font: Adjust the typography for maximum readability.

  • Colors: Change the color of the text, and the background.

  • Brush Settings: Control how the "scratching" effect looks when a user interacts with it. You can customize things like the brush size and the minimum percentage of the cover that needs to be scratched off before revealing the reward.

💡Pro Tip: Always use the Preview mode to test the scratching interaction on both desktop and mobile views before going live.

Publishing Your Campaign

When you are satisfied with the design and the reward logic, click the Publish button in the top right corner. You can track the performance of your interactive elements directly in your Alia dashboard.
