You can manually invite, remove members from the member modal in each of your Alongspaces. Managing your space members enables you to get more space insights and analytics.

Space members in Along are broken down into members on the seller and the buyer team.

The team you are part of is always marked with a tag saying “Your team”

Click on the “Share” button at the top right corner to open the member modal in your Alongspace. From here you can control and oversee which members are added on the seller and on the buyer team.

Seller space members are always team members in your Along team

Inviting seller space members can be done by clicking on “Add member” on the right team. From here, you can invite new members via email or existing team members to join this Alongspace.

*Important: Every new seller space member also automatically becomes a team member in your Along team.

Buyer space members are always external members individually defined per Alongspace

Inviting buyer space members can be done by clicking on “Add member” on the left team. From here, you can invite buyer members via email. Depending on the access settings in your Alongspace, buyer members need to be invited or authenticate themselves via email. You can also allow anonymous visitors, which does not add them space members on the modal.

Seller and buyer space members have a “Pending invite” state or an “Active” state that indicates the last time this member was active in the Alongspace.

You can remove members or resend invitations from the “Edit” icon on the member element in the modal.

Depending on the type of member, access rights might differ.

Adding placeholders in Alongspaces allows you to manage a specific role before knowing who to invite here specifically. The placeholder can then be assigned to a specific member later on.

When you “Add members” to your Alongspace, you can click on the “Placeholder member” tab to add a role as a member in your space that you can assign to a specific member later on. A placeholder member is treated like any other space member that you can also assign to actions.

When assigning a placeholder, you specifically assign this role to a specific email address that receives a space invitation. The actions this placeholder is assigned to are automatically assigned to the invited new space member now.

When editing a placeholder, you can change the name of the placeholder.

When removing a placeholder, you are removing this member from the Alongspace entirely.

Any invited space member receives an email notification to become aware of the invitation as well as providing the members with the access link to the Alongspace.

Buyer and seller member can both join a space from the sharable space link as well. You can simply copy the "sharable link" and share it with relevant stakeholders and depending on the space restriction, they can either join automatically or they will have to be invited via email.
