Overview
Creating spaces is the most common command to set yourself up to properly use Along. You should think of having a single space per deal, especially when hooking Along into your CRM. This document explains the different ways of creating a space and what the creation consists of.
Creation steps
Select the space type you want to create:
- From a template
- From scratch
Select the company you are creating the space for
- Select a company by typing in their name or domain
Choose a space name and connect your CRM and/or Slack to the space

There are three different ways how to create a space in Along.
Create from "+ Create space" button
Create by duplicating another space
Create by using a template
Adding a company
When you create a space, you will have to define a company you are creating the space for.
Companies are either added automatically from your connected CRM
or
Companies are created when selecting a new domain in the creation process automatically
or
You manually create a company in Along (which then auto-syncs with your CRM as well)
Connecting integrations
Connecting integrations happens within space creation, so that the CRM deal is setup to track accordingly. This also goes for other integrations like Slack, so that notifications can be triggered in real-time.
