Overview
Quickly integrate Salesforce with Along and never enter data manually again. All deal related information in an Alongspace will automatically be added to your Salesforce opportunity, so that your CRM stays the single source of truth.
Manage Along to Salesforce connection
Watch this video to integrate with Salesforce from your Along settings:
Simply go to your → Settings in your account. Click on → Integrations and then → Salesforce. From here you can connect your Salesforce account to Along by going through the step by step list.
⚠️ Important
One Salesforce account gets connected across your entire team in Along → Make sure the connected Salesforce account has access to all deals (e.g. an Admin)
Only admin members in your Along team can connect or disconnect the Salesforce integration Exception: When the Salesforce integration has connection issues, regular team members can also reconnect the integration
The integration to Salesforce allows you to connect an Alongspace to a Salesforce opportunity, which enables a smooth and seamless integration into your existing workflows
An Alongspace can only be connected to one Salesforce opportunity and vice versa. So every Salesforce opportunity can also only have one Alongspace
When reconnecting to Salesforce upon a new update, the Alongspaces and deals stay connected and you do not lose any data.

With the enabled Salesforce integration, contacts and companies sync automatically to avoid the need for double data entry and to make sure Along smoothly integrates into your workflows.
Auto-creation of contacts
When a new buyer member is added to a space, either by invitation or by joining a space via email, this contact is auto-attached as a new contact or as an existing contact in the connected Salesforce opportunity.
If the email added to a space in Along does not already belong to a contact in Salesforce, the contact is automatically created and attached to the connected opportunity.
Syncing companies
The creation and editing of companies in Along or Salesforce update both ways. When a company gets created in Along, the domain and company name both sync with Salesforce and either create a new company or update an existing one. The same happens when the action is taken in Salesforce.

Positioning the Along insights card on your opportunity overview gives you real-time insights on the engagement and progress of a connected Alongspace.

Connect a Salesforce opportunity with an Alongspace
A Salesforce opportunity can only be connected to an Alongspace when the Salesforce integration is enabled in the team settings. There are three ways to control the connection of an Alongspace with a Salesforce opportunity.
Space creation
You can connect a Salesforce integration when you create a space by simply activating the dropdown from the Salesforce field and selecting the deal.
Space detail sidebar
You can control which Salesforce opportunity is connected to the Alongspace from here. When a Salesforce opportunity is connected, you also get the most important insights on that deal from this overview regarding the close date, the deal amount $$ and the deal stage. You can directly access your connected Salesforce opportunity from this view as well.
Space list overview
You can control the Salesforce opportunity that are connected to the Alongspaces in your spaces list view. Simply click on the Salesforce icon to change the Salesforce opportunity that you want to connect.
Manage Along activities in a Salesforce opportunity
You can control which activities are automatically added in your connected Salesforce opportunities. The settings can be controlled from your → Salesforce settings page.
Activity settings
The settings for automatic activity tracking in your Salesforce opportunities are broken down into:
A new member is added to a space - When a new member is added to an Alongspace, the Salesforce opportunity records an activity
Updates in the action plan - An action is created, completed, a due date is set or a comment is given - all these events trigger an activity to automatically be created in the connected Salesforce opportunity
A new visit in a space from your buyers - When buyer members visit your Alongspace, an activity is recorded in your connected Salesforce opportunity
A space status changes - When the status of your Alongspace changes, an activity is recorded in your connected Salesforce opportunity
