Overview

Quickly integrate HubSpot with Along and never enter data manually again. All deal related information in an Alongspace will automatically be added to your HubSpot deal, so that your CRM stays the single source of truth.


Manage Along to HubSpot connection

Simply go to your → Settings in your account. Click on → Integrations and then → HubSpot. From here you can connect your HubSpot account to Along.

⚠️ Important

  • One HubSpot account gets connected across your entire team in Along → Make sure the connected HubSpot account has access to all deals (e.g. an Admin)

  • Only admin members in your Along team can connect or disconnect the HubSpot integration Exception: When the HubSpot integration has connection issues, regular team members can also reconnect the integration

  • The integration to HubSpot allows you to connect an Alongspace to a HubSpot deal, which enables a smooth and seamless integration into your existing workflows

  • An Alongspace can only be connected to one HubSpot deal and vice versa. So every HubSpot deal can also only have one Alongspace

  • When reconnecting to HubSpot upon a new update, the Alongspaces and deals stay connected and you do not lose any data.

  • When disconnecting the HubSpot connection, no data will be synced anymore

With the enabled HubSpot integration, contacts and companies sync automatically to avoid the need for double data entry and to make sure Along smoothly integrates into your workflows.

Auto-creation of contacts

When a new buyer member is added to a space, either by invitation or by joining a space via email, this contact is auto-attached as a new contact or as an existing contact in HubSpot.

If the email added to a space in Along does not already belong to an contact in HubSpot, the contact is automatically created and attached to the connected deal.

Syncing companies

The creation and editing of companies in Along or HubSpot update both ways. When a company gets created in Along, the domain and company name both sync with HubSpot and either create a new company or update an existing one. The same happens when the action is taken in HubSpot.

Controlling company and contact syncing

You can control the settings to sync companies and contacts from the HubSpot setting page in your Along team. Turning the toggles on or off will define if the function is triggered or not.


Setup Along insights card on deals

Positioning the Along insights card on your deal overview gives you real-time insights on the engagement and progress of a connected Alongspace.

Controlling an Alongspace from the card

You can navigate the Alongspace connection and the overall HubSpot integration with Along from the card.

  • The Alongspace title at the top of the card directly opens the Alongspace in a new tab

  • Clicking on “Actions” allows you to disconnect the Alongspace from the deal

  • Clicking on “Settings” opens a modal with the HubSpot integrations settings in your Along account

Creating an Alongspace from the card

When you do not have an Alongspace connected to a deal in HubSpot, you can create an Alongspace from the Along card. Simply click on “Actions” to select a template from your Along team to create a space and have it auto-attached to this deal.


Connect a HubSpot deal with an Alongspace

A HubSpot deal can only be connected to an Alongspace when the HubSpot integration is enabled in the team settings. There are three ways to control the connection of an Alongspace with a HubSpot deal.

Space creation

You can connect a HubSpot deal when you create a space by simply activating the dropdown from the HubSpot field and selecting the deal.

You can control which HubSpot deal is connected to the Alongspace from here. When a HubSpot deal is connected, you also get the most important insights on that deal from this overview regarding the close date, the deal amount $$ and the deal stage. You can directly access your connected HubsSot deal from this view as well.

Space list overview

You can control the HubSpot deals that are connected to the Alongspaces in your spaces list view. Simply click on the HubSpot icon to change the HubSpot deal that you want to connect.


Manage Along activities in a HubSpot deal

You can control which activities are automatically added in your connected HubSpot deals. The settings can be controlled from your → HubSpot settings page.

Activity settings

The settings for automatic activity tracking in your HubSpot deals are broken down into:

  • A new member is added to a space When a new member is added to an Alongspace, the HubSpot deal records an activity.

  • Updates in the action plan An action is created, completed, a due date is set or a comment is given - all these events trigger an activity to automatically be created in the connected HubSpot deal

  • A new visit in a space from your buyers When buyer members visit your Alongspace, an activity is recorded in your connected HubSpot deal

  • A space status changes When the status of your Alongspace changes, an activity is recorded in your connected HubSpot deal

Control the filter in your HubSpot deal and make sure the Along is turned on in order to see the activities from Along in your deal.


Manage Along properties in HubSpot

You can setup your deal and pipeline management in HubSpot to seamlessly show you various key information on the connected Alongspace, so that you can easily get relevant insights while closing deals and managing buyer relationships.

Along properties in HubSpot

  • Along Engagement This is the engagement score from your connected Alongspace made visible in HubSpot

  • Along Status This is the status of your connected Alongspace made visible in HubSpot

  • Along Progress This is the progress of completed actions in your connected Alongspace made visible in HubSpot

  • Along Visits This is the count of your buyer visits in your connected Alongspace made visible in HubSpot

  • Along Link This is the link to your connected Alongspace that you can directly access from within HubSpot

Along properties on deal cards in a pipeline

Add properties regarding your connected Alongspace on your deal card in your pipeline to optimise the way you manage your deals in HubSpot.

It is imperative that you setup your HubSpot account to show the Along properties on your deal card by default, so that everyone in your team can easily use Along to its full potential.

🛠 Steps to set this up in HubSpot:

  1. Go to your → Settings

  2. Click on → Deals as a sub-category of → Objects under → Data Management

  3. Then go to → Pipelines

  4. Click on → Customize board and card view

  5. Define the pipeline the deal card is created for and select the Along properties to show → We recommend to show the engagement and the status property to get the easiest overview on your Alongspace here

Along properties in your deal view

Add properties to the left sidebar across all deals, so that you can always see the current status and engagement of your connected Alongspace.

Group the Along properties within a specified section of your left sidebar in every deal across your pipeline or account in HubSpot. Everyone can then easily overview the key information of the connected Alongspace and can directly access the Alongspace from here.

🛠 Steps to set this up in HubSpot:

  1. Go to your → Settings

  2. Click on → Deals as a sub-category of → Objects under → Data Management

  3. Then go to → Record Customization

  4. Click on → Customize the left sidebar

  5. Add a section called “Along” and add the Along properties here - this section should be added to every deal by default → We recommend to show all the Along properties to enable easy access to all information
