Login, invite and portal-access troubleshooting

Fix Pattern PXM sign-in problems: invites, expired links, password resets, SSO, access errors and multiple portals. Admin steps included.

Written by Sean Bentley

Can't sign in to Pattern PXM, never got your invite, or see a message that you don't have access? Find your symptom below. Each one explains the usual cause and the steps that fix it. Most problems are solved in a few minutes by the person, or by your company's Pattern PXM admin.

Before you start: check these three things

  1. You're using your portal's address. Every brand has its own portal at [brand].pxm.pattern.com, for example yourbrand.pxm.pattern.com. Use the link in your invite email and bookmark it.

  2. You're signing in with the same email address your invite was sent to.

  3. You've checked your spam or junk folder for emails from notifications@pattern.com (invites) and support-admin@pattern.com (password resets).

When you open your portal's address, you're taken to the Pattern sign-in page at login.pattern.com. It shows Welcome to PXM. Enter your email address and click continue, then enter your password and click continue.

Who can help

  • Your company's Pattern PXM admin (usually a Super Admin, or another admin your company has given invite rights) invites users, resends invites, and sets each user's role and Org Units. Start here for any access request.

  • Your own IT team manages your sign-in if your company uses single sign-on (SSO).

  • Pattern support (pxmsupport@pattern.com) helps when you're an active user, on the right portal address, have tried the steps below, and still can't get in. Pattern support can't give you access to a brand's portal without that brand's approval.

Symptoms and fixes

I need access to a brand's portal

Cause: Each portal belongs to a brand. Only that brand's Pattern PXM admin (usually a Super Admin, or another admin the brand has given invite rights) can invite new users, including dealers, retailers, distributors, sales reps, agencies and new employees. Pattern doesn't create accounts on a brand's behalf.

  1. Ask your contact at the brand, such as your sales rep or account manager, to have their Pattern PXM admin invite you.

  2. Give them the email address you want to use.

  3. Watch for an invite email from notifications@pattern.com, then follow "I got my invite. How do I accept it?" below.

  4. If you contact Pattern support instead, include the portal address and the brand contact who approved your access. Support will point you to the brand's admin. The brand decides.

The sign-in page says that if you don't have an account, you should reach out to the support team. For a brand's portal, the account itself comes from that brand's Pattern PXM admin, so starting with your brand contact is usually fastest.

I got my invite. How do I accept it?

  1. Open the invite email from notifications@pattern.com.

  2. Click the link in the email. It opens your brand's portal at [brand].pxm.pattern.com.

  3. Create your password and finish setting up your account.

  4. Bookmark the portal address so you always sign in at the right place.

Invite links last 7 days. If yours is older than that, see the next symptom.

My invite expired, or the invite link doesn't work

Cause: Invite links expire after 7 days. An expired or already-used link won't let you set up your account. In User Management, your admin may see Invitation Expired as your status.

  1. Ask your Pattern PXM admin to resend your invite. A new invite is the fix if you never finished setting up your account. A password reset is not.

  2. Open the newest invite email and use only that link. Older links won't work.

  3. If the new link still doesn't work, clear your browser's cache and cookies (or try a private window), then click the link again.

  4. If it still fails, contact Pattern support with your email address and portal address.

I never received my invite

Cause: The email was filtered as spam, the address has a typo, or your company's email system blocked it.

  1. Check your spam or junk folder for an email from notifications@pattern.com.

  2. Ask your admin to confirm your email address is spelled correctly in Pattern PXM, then resend the invite.

  3. Ask your IT team to allow emails from notifications@pattern.com and support-admin@pattern.com.

  4. If it still doesn't arrive, contact Pattern support with your email address and portal address. Some addresses are blocked after an earlier delivery failure, and only Pattern support can clear that. Once it's cleared, you'll set your password with a password reset email rather than a new invite.

I forgot my password, or I can't sign in with it

Cause: Your account is set up, but the password isn't working or you don't remember it.

  1. Go to your portal's address, [brand].pxm.pattern.com.

  2. You're taken to the Pattern sign-in page (Welcome to PXM). Enter your email address and click continue.

  3. On the password step, click Reset password.

  4. Check that your email address is filled in correctly, then click continue.

  5. Open the email from support-admin@pattern.com and click Reset Password.

  6. Enter your new password twice, then sign in.

Reset links expire after a while, so use the newest one. After too many failed sign-in attempts, your account is locked for 24 hours. Stop trying and wait, or contact Pattern support. See also Password Reset.

Password reset doesn't let me continue

Cause: Usually an old link, saved browser data, or an account that was never fully set up.

  1. Request a new reset and use only the newest email.

  2. Clear your browser's cache and cookies for the portal, or use a private window, and try again.

  3. If you never finished setting up your account, ask your admin to resend your invite instead of resetting your password.

  4. If you're still stuck, contact Pattern support with your email address and portal address.

My company uses single sign-on (SSO)

Cause: With SSO, you sign in through your company's identity provider, such as Microsoft (Azure AD) or Google Workspace. Pattern PXM doesn't hold your password, so Reset password usually won't help.

  1. Sign in using your company's SSO option, the same way you sign in to your other work apps.

  2. If your company sign-in fails, contact your IT team.

  3. If you sign in but have no access, you still need an invite. SSO doesn't create Pattern PXM accounts on its own, unless your company has set up automatic user provisioning with Pattern. Ask your Pattern PXM admin to invite you and set your role and Org Units.

  4. To turn on SSO for your company, contact your Pattern Customer Success Manager or Pattern support. SSO may need to be added to your plan. See Pattern PXM SSO with Azure Active Directory and Pattern PXM SSO with Google Workspace.

"User has not yet been granted access to this portal"

Cause: You signed in, but your account doesn't have a role or Org Units for this portal yet, or you're on a different portal than the one you were invited to.

  1. Check the address. Use [brand].pxm.pattern.com from your newest invite email, not an old amplifi.io bookmark.

  2. Check that you signed in with the email address you were invited with. If you have more than one work address, sign out and sign in with the right one.

  3. If the address and email are right, ask the brand's Pattern PXM admin to check your role and Org Units, or invite you.

I can sign in, but I can't see files or products, or the page is blank

Cause: Your role or Org Units don't include that content. What you can see depends on the role and Org Units your admin gave you.

  1. After your admin changes your access, sign out and sign back in so the change takes effect.

I have access to more than one portal

Cause: Each brand's portal is separate. Access to one doesn't give you access to another.

  1. Use each brand's own address, [brand].pxm.pattern.com, and bookmark each one.

  2. Being signed in to one portal doesn't give you access to another. If a portal says you don't have access, ask that brand's admin to invite you.

  3. If you see the wrong portal or account, sign out and sign in again at the correct address.

I keep returning to the sign-in page, or the page won't load

Cause: Saved browser data or a mix of old and new portal addresses.

  1. Clear cookies and site data for the portal, then reload.

  2. Try a private or incognito window.

  3. Make sure you started from your portal's address, [brand].pxm.pattern.com, and not an old bookmark. The sign-in page itself is at login.pattern.com.

  4. Check whether you should be using SSO or a password.

  5. If you're an active user on the right address and still stuck after you've finished your invite or a password reset, contact Pattern support with your email address, portal address and a screenshot of what you see.

For admins: invite users, resend invites and check access

Super Admins (or admins with invite rights) manage users in User Management. Click the settings icon at the bottom of the left navigation, then choose SYSTEM > ACCESS > User Management. User Management opens in a new browser tab.

The Users list has ACTIVE and INACTIVE tabs, a search box and FILTERS. It shows each user's NAME, EMAIL, ROLE, ORG UNIT, CREATED date, LAST LOGIN and STATUS. You may see the statuses ACTIVE, PENDING and INVITATION EXPIRED.

Invite a user

  1. In User Management, click Create New User(s).

  2. Enter one or more email addresses in Email, separated by a comma or space (users added together get the same role and Org Units), choose a role in Role, and choose their Org Units in Org Unit(s). Turn on Access to all current and future org units for full access.

  3. Click Create User(s). Pattern PXM sends an activation email from notifications@pattern.com. The user shows as Pending until they accept, then Active.

For details, see Add a New User.

Resend an invite

  1. Find the user in User Management. Users who haven't accepted their invite show as Pending. Invite links expire after 7 days, and you may see Invitation Expired for an invite that lapsed.

  2. Click the ⋯ menu on their row and choose Resend Activation Email. The same menu also has Deactivate User, so check which one you click.

  3. Tell the user to use the newest email only.

Check a user's access

  1. Search for the user and check their Status. Pending means they haven't accepted the invite, and Active means they have. If you can't find them, check the INACTIVE tab.

  2. Check their email address for typos.

  3. Check their role and Org Units, which you can review with EDIT PROFILE on their row. A missing role or Org Units is the usual reason a user signs in but sees nothing.

  4. If you change their access, ask them to sign out and sign back in.

Contact Pattern support if invites never arrive after you've resent them and the user has checked spam, if a user is Active and on the right address but still can't sign in, or if you see an error you can't resolve while managing users.

FAQ

Should I reset my password or ask for a new invite?

If you never finished setting up your account, ask for a new invite. If you've signed in before, reset your password.

My bookmark uses amplifi.io. Is that a problem?

Use [brand].pxm.pattern.com instead. Invites sent since March 2026 use that address.

Which emails should my IT team allow?

notifications@pattern.com for invites and support-admin@pattern.com for password resets.
